EDMONDS, Washington (SmallTownPapers) -- The Huckabillys, a country western band that formed about a year ago have been performing weekly at the South County Senior Center. They have a love for "making music with their friends". They all met at the Senior Center.

They delight in seeing eyes light and toes start tappin' to recognized songs from the past.

They are being featured on the television show Blues To Do this Friday, July 24th at 7 p.m. on Scan-TV on channel 77 in Edmonds and channel 39 in Everett.

The host Marlee Walker came to Edmonds and sat in on a practice last week to get a history and casual meeting with the group.

The band is donating funds that they received back to the Senior Center in hopes to see it thrive and continue to serve other seniors for many in the future.

Their stories and memories, both happy and very difficult, have kept them reaching onward and higher. Their two female musicians are 92 and 93 years old. You would not guess that by the light in their spirits.
